Manifest Hope / “Change We Made” Obama Painting

January 5, 2009 by Tes, under Artwork, Events, Prints, Uncategorized.

ABOUT THE PAINTING – CHANGE WE MADE

I wanted to create something that reflected the hope and inspiration I feel in the election of Barack Obama – and the workforce, technology and determination that will lead us to progress. “Change We Made” is my tribute to Barack Obama and to the grass roots movement of the people who support our new President.

ASPCA: NYC – Mobile Spay/Neuter Clinic

October 25, 2008 by Tes, under Artwork, Events.

Over 100 healthy adoptable pets are euthanized every day in New York City because there are just too many animals and too few homes. The ASPCA is dedicated to helping end this crisis by offering and promoting spaying and neutering. Quite simply, spaying and neutering is the only way to end the pet overpopulation tragedy.

The ASPCA mobile clinic offers free spay/neuter and rabies vaccinations to pet owners on public assistance, including those living in public housing in New York City’s five boroughs. The program encourages New York City residents to spay or neuter ALL the cats and dogs in your household. I was invited to help increase awarness for cause by donating artwork to the campaign. This artwork will be auctioned off (details coming soon) with all proceeds going to helping these animals. Spay/Neuter Information | NYC Mobile Clinic Calendar

Jimi Hendrix Tribute: “Slight Return”

June 6, 2008 by Tes, under Artwork.

Last month, I had the privilege of creating a custom painting dedicated to Jimi Hendrix. The good folks over at Corbis had commissioned the work for the Palais at the Cannes Lions Awards. The imagery of the painting was inspired by the amazing photography of Henry Diltz, and the final piece was put on display as a massive billboard outside of the Palais.

The painting, “Slight Return” has been donated to the Jimi Hendrix Estate, and is currently on display at MofAA.
